City of Denton Animal Shelter needs your help

Donald Andrews

The Linda McNatt Animal Care and Adoption Center is the portion of the City of Denton Animal Shelter that houses the vet clinic, care areas and adoption and viewing centers. It’s located at 3717 N. Elm Street; Denton, Texas. Hours are Monday–Saturday from 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

You can help the shelter even if you cannot adopt one of our pets. Our shelter is always in need of items to help care for our animals. If you would like to help the shelter here, is a list of items we most frequently need:

Dawn dish soap (original blue), Clorox wipes, bleach (any kind), paper towels, window cleaner, towels (new or clean used), washable fleece blankets, sponges and pot scrubbers, rubber dog toys, cat toys, collars, leashes and harnesses (large sizes), dog bandanas (mostly large and extra-large sizes), canned cat food (Friskies Pate), canned puppy or adult dog food (all ages), dry cat or dog food (Purina/Pedigree, all ages), pens (used is fine) and sharpies.

If you are interested in our volunteer or fostering programs or have any other questions contact the shelter at 940-349-7594 during business hours. Leave a message if necessary and you will be called back.
