The Baptist Student Ministry on the Texas Woman’s University (TWU) Campus provides free lunches each Wednesday during the semesters, thanks to area churches. The average attendance is 80 students each week.
On Oct. 11 members of New Life Church at Robson prepared and served seven large casseroles, salad, and cookies/brownies to the students. They loved the home cooking so much that we ran out. Pastors Jim Mann and John Lewis ordered six pizzas to supplement, and, of course, they were gobbled down as well!
Church members Angie Graber, Nancy and Roger Thomas, and Paula Allen delivered the food and visited with the students. It was a very rewarding experience! But next time, we will make more casseroles!
