The Robson Ranch Golf Scholarship Association was established in 2021 in honor of Dave Bowles. Dave was an instructor here, and he was passionate about teaching the game of golf and, specifically, the short game. Dave initiated these Wednesday Par 3 events, and we continue them in his honor. Dave only used one of our nine-hole courses and always hoped to have enough players to use two courses. The Association now has 535 members, and we have 216 players on all three courses every other Wednesday. We raise scholarships to offer to graduating seniors who play and practice at Robson Ranch.
This will be our fifth season in running Glow Ball and the Par 3 Scholarship Wednesday Tournaments. Here are the scholarship totals we accrued through each season:
1st: $6,000
2nd: $12,000
3rd: $20,000
4th: $27,000+
We were given this award for philanthropic work by North Central Texas College and are now in their Benefactors Honor Circle for our work with the Scholarship Association.
