The Robson Ranch Women’s Club continues to be a big support to the community.
Suzanne Spisak announced that donations through Share the Blessings to Denton Community Food Center totaled $563. These funds are earmarked for the purchase of protein items such as milk and eggs. The Share the Blessings winner was Sondra Hall.
Denton County Friends of the Family will be the recipient of Share the Blessings in November. Funds will be earmarked for the purchase of Thanksgiving meal kits.
Toiletries Project for Friends of the Family: Carolyn Kelley volunteered to collect these items for women who fled with little more than the clothes on their backs. Nine boxes of toiletries were delivered. Our timing was good. They showed us the near empty shelves of these items. Thank you, Carolyn, and all of you who donated to make this project a success.
Welcome Home Pallet Urgent Needs for Our Daily Bread: queen-size mattress pads, kitchen knives, lamps, coffee pots (five-cup is best), and toasters. Drop these items off at Sherry Eason’s home at 8008 Osprey Lane, phone: 225-773-5431. No other items are being collected at this time.
On Sept. 27 everything was cleared out of the storage unit and moved to Our Daily Bread. Sherry Eason, Donna Gardner, and their crew did a fabulous job!
In the future, Our Daily Bread clients will pick out items from an area at Our Daily Bread with the help of Community Outreach volunteers.
Holiday Decoration Drive: Drop off your unwanted holiday decorations at the clubhouse parking lot on Monday, Dec. 15, between 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Wine Pull at Holiday Home Tour Benefiting Journey to Dream: Donate a bottle of wine ($12 or higher). Bring it to the November or December Women’s Club luncheon (add a sticky note if the bottle is $35 or higher).
Adopt-A-Family Project: Denton County Friends of the Family sponsors Adopt-A-Family, which provides a rewarding experience of purchasing gifts for children, teens, and their mothers, ensuring they have holiday gifts as well as clothing this holiday season!
Holiday Cookie Drive: For all you cookie bakers, information will be provided at the November and December luncheons!
