Autumn officially arrived, and to celebrate the changing of the seasons the Robson Ranch Dance Club hosted its annual “Harvest Moon Dance” on Friday, October 2. The atmosphere was amazing that night with an electrifying energy coming from the revelers who came out and made it happen on the dance floor. The ballroom and tabletops were decorated with fall foliage and candles along with an assortment of sweet treats. Whatever your tempo, the DJ played music to entice everyone to the dance floor: rock and roll, swing, country and western and Latin. There were also the latest line dance crazes and popular songs to keep things hopping.
Along with the party, the Dance Club held its annual meeting and presented its nominations for the new slate of officers for the upcoming year. With a unanimous vote, Sharon Heidebrecht (president), Joan Newcomer (vice president), Jerry Schlesinger (treasurer), and Vicki Baker (secretary), took the helm.
Much thanks and gratitude were extended to Kathy Lapp, past president, and her team for their service over the past years. The new board looks forward to their continued stewardship as the club gears up for an exciting year of dances and parties in 2016. Also a great big thank you to the many sponsors who provided door prizes in the way of gift certificates and gift baskets for 17 lucky winners.
The Harvest Moon Dance was a fun-filled “night on the town” even if we didn’t travel far. Remember, there are short-cuts to happiness, and dancing is one of them.
