It’s time to start planning the 2026-27 year for members, and those interested in becoming members, of the Robson Ranch Friends of the Library. If you love books, consider joining the Friends of the Library Club for $10 per year.
Friends of the Library (FOL) reminds everyone that membership dues paid after May 1, 2026 are effective for membership from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027. All current members will need to update their membership after May 1. Moneys from memberships are used to support the Robson Library by purchasing books of mixed genres including large print. The annual FOL meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 15 from 2:30 to 4 p.m. in the library. All FOL members are invited. We will elect our officers for the 2026-27 year at this annual meeting. If there are any individuals who would like to volunteer for an office in our organization, please contact the leadership committee at Info@rrtxfol.org.
Residents will not want to miss the Cool Daddy poetry night on Tuesday, April 30 at 6:30 p.m.
Avid readers and poetry lovers will be treated to a trip back in time with a night of poetry read with groovy 60s vibes. Participants are encouraged to wear black shirts and snap their fingers in appreciation with pure 1960s style. Attendees who would like to present may read an original poem, or choose a poem with personal meaning. There is no charge for the event. Come prepared for a fun hour of light jazz, coffee, smooth ambiance and poetry! Those who wish to present a poem may contact Megg Galloway at megg.galloway@yahoo.com.
The library is located in the Creative Arts Center (CATC) building off Ed Robson Circle. Park outside the building, enter, and have the PDK app or card ready to unlock the library door. The library is open daily during the hours of 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Volunteer staff is available to help patrons on Mondays through Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
