May 7 Robson Ranch Democratic Club Power Point input

Richard Kushmaul

At their regular first Thursday of the month meeting, the Robson Ranch Democratic club gathered to socialize and discuss current political events and affairs. Co-President, Elaine Kushmaul, gave a Power Point update on the current “redistricting efforts going on in Texas and the country. A general discussion followed concerning the need for and identification of resources for unbiased and accurate information on current political subjects. Members shared several resources that they have found that works for them. These resources were then summarized and shared with the larger club membership in the weeks following.

The next club event will be its annual “pool side” patio social, June 4 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Pinnacle center. It will be a friendly, politician free social time where members (and guests) can relax and visit. The menu includes pulled pork sandwiches, barbeque beans, cole slaw, cookies, soft drinks and beer. The tickets are $25 per person, limited to a total of 50 and can be purchased at the RR democratic club website: rrdemocraticclub.com under the “Give/Buy” drop down tab.

Soon following the pool side social the club will be participating as a group in the Robson Ranch July 4th parade with a contingency of decorated golf carts, music, and of course, Uncle Sam. Members and guests may sign up at the Democratic Club website under the “Take Action” tab.

Robson Ranch Democrats learn about civic and political issues together respecting each other’s opinions.  We meet candidates, register voters, volunteer to help elect Democrats, serve as election workersand have a good time together! We meet every month (except June, July and December) on the first Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the Robson Clubhouse. Everyone is welcome.
