After an enjoyable Playday Scramble on June 10, the Wildhorse Lady Niners held their June Luncheon and Quarterly Meeting. Four players were recognized by Jamey Siefert, our resident Handicap expert, for having achieved their handicaps under slightly more difficult circumstances. Jamey stated, “It’s really admirable that they pursued getting their handicaps, especially since we are limited to two courses right now and tee times are hard to come by!”
Congratulations to Vickie Reid, Demetra Dickens, Kim Jeske, and Janet Moderhack!
The Lady Niners have supported the First Tee organization with charitable financial contributions, as well as spearheaded a drive to collect usable golf equipment to donate in support of First Tee’s mission to enable kids and teens to build their strength of character through the game of golf. First Tee’s coaching philosophy helps young people develop their character, confidence, commitment, and competence all while playing golf, a game they can enjoy for a lifetime, along with skills they can employ for a lifetime! Besides the donated equipment, the Lady Niners held a 75/25 raffle at our June luncheon to raise funds for First Tee. The lucky winner, Renee Kowalski, donated her 25% winnings back to the charity resulting in a total contribution of $1,075! Thank you, Renee, for your gracious and generous support of First Tee.
