As we move toward the fall and prepare to celebrate Labor Day, we are reminded of the dedication, hard work, and patriotic spirit that built our nation. It is a fitting moment for the Robson Ranch Republican Club to reflect on our own commitment to service, civic engagement, and community involvement. With new programs, improved communication tools, and a renewed focus on educating and empowering voters, the months ahead promise to be both busy and inspiring.
Upcoming Speakers and September Meeting
We are excited to launch our fall programming on Sept. 2 with an outstanding lineup of speakers. State Representative Andy Hopper and JP Harris Hughey will discuss priorities for the upcoming 90th Legislative Session, offering insight into the issues that will shape Texas politics in the year ahead.
We will begin with a brief business meeting to present a proposed change to the club budget and introduce updates to our Bylaws and Policies and Procedures. Members will have the month of September to review these materials, with a formal vote scheduled for the October meeting.
We have also invited Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton to speak at a future meeting. While we have not yet received confirmation, we will keep members informed as details develop.
Education and Programming
Our educational offerings continue to grow, helping residents stay informed about issues, candidates, and current events. The History Then and Now series is now available on the website, and our Reel Series remains popular.
The next showing will be Sunday, Aug. 18 from 2 to 4 p.m. featuring Unbroken. This event is free and open to all residents.
In September, we will present A More Perfect Union from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Lone Star Legacy Room—a powerful film that brings to life the creation of the U.S. Constitution and the debates and compromises that shaped our founding document.
Membership Drive and Website Improvements
To support our growing membership, we have enhanced the club website and will host membership sign up dates at the Clubhouse from 9 to11 a.m. on:
* Sept. 21, 23, 28, 30
* Oct. 5 and 7
Annual dues are $10 per year (June through May) for full membership.
Looking Ahead
With new programs, improved communication, and a strong focus on civic engagement, the Robson Ranch Republican Club is poised for an exceptional season. I look forward to seeing you on Sept. 2, doors open at 6 p.m. as we begin this exciting chapter together.
