Allison Walker, Independent Medicare Insurance Agent
Medicare can be confusing. Changes to coverage, prescription costs, doctors, networks, and plan benefits can leave even longtime Medicare beneficiaries wondering, “Am I still in the right plan?”
That is why I chose to specialize in Medicare.
My reason is personal. My dad is 86, and through him I have seen firsthand how important it is for seniors to have someone they trust who will listen, ask questions, seek answers, and be their advocate when they need help understanding their coverage.
My goal is simple: to help seniors feel informed and confident about their Medicare benfits—not just when choosing a plan, but months later when a question comes up and they don’t know where to turn.
As an independent Medicare insurance agent, I take an education-first approach. Medicare is not one-size-fits-all, and the right coverage depends on your doctors, prescriptions, pharmacies, health needs, budget, and personal preferences.
Whether you are approaching Medicare for the first time or have been on Medicare for years, I can help you understand the differences between:
* Original Medicare (Parts A & B)
* Medicare Advantage (Part C)
* Prescription Drug Plans (Part D)
* Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plans
Why This Year Matters
Medicare’s Annual Enrollment Period runs Oct. 15 through Dec. 7, 2026, for coverage changes taking effect Jan. 1, 2027.
Each year, plans can change their costs, benefits, coverage, and provider or pharmacy networks. Medicare recommends reviewing your Annual Notice of Change and other plan materials to determine whether your current coverage will continue to meet your needs.
There are also important changes coming to Medicare Part D in 2027, making this year’s review especially worthwhile. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has finalized changes to the Medicare Advantage and Part D programs for 2027.
If you’re already on Medicare, I offer free Medicare reviews. There is no obligation to change plans. My goal is simply to help you understand your current coverage, answer your questions and help you determine whether your current plan still fits your needs.
You don’t have to figure Medicare out by yourself. Having someone you can call when you have a question can make all the difference. Contact me, Allison Walker, Independent Medicare Insurance Agent, at 972-807-5332.
Medicare plans availability and benefits vary by plan and service area. A free review does not obligate you to enroll in or change plans.
