In September indulge your wild side and explore the world with a UNT Travel Learn trip:
Vienna to Prague: Crossroads of Europe
September 17—September 24
Venture with us as we explore the modern spirit of the new Czech Republic against the historic landscape of one of Europe’s oldest countries. Crossing the border from Austria, we discover a land of rural villages rich in folklore and tradition, wooded hills, rare flowers and tranquil lakes. We marvel at Baroque architecture and meander through majestic landscaped parkland. We explore the unspoiled town of Cesky Krumlov and sample the beer in one of the oldest breweries in Europe. Our trip ends in the vibrant capital city of Prague where we walk the famous Charles Bridge and visit Prague Castle, the largest ancient castle in the world.
Northern Ireland: Giant’s Causeway, Glens of Antrim
September 18—September 24
Enjoy “Two Irelands for the price of one.” Our Northern Ireland tour is enhanced this year with a visit to Londonderry, one of the finest walled cities in Europe and UK City of Culture in 2013. There is also a two-night visit to Donegal in the Republic of Ireland including a relaxed day’s walking on Doagh Island (now a peninsula) and a visit to the Famine Folk Museum. The delights of Antrim and its coast encompass some of the UK’s finest visual experiences such as the iconic Giant’s Causeway and Rathlin Island with its colony of seals competing for attention with the haunting cries of seabirds soaring and diving around rugged cliffs.
