The African American Social Group (AASG) recently hosted a Meet-n-Greet at the home of Social Coordinator Tiffany Ramzy. There were 23 in attendance, including seven new residents. Everyone brought an appetizer to share and their favorite beverage. It was a fun, relaxing gathering, with good food and good conversation. Existing members shared information with new members about their participation in various Robson clubs. The list of clubs and activities represented included Bocce, Drone Club, Fellowship At The Ranch, Golf, Living Well, Paint n Pallet, ROMEO Club, Rotary Club, Sassy Stampers, Singles Club, Support Our Troops, Table Tennis, Tai Chi, Technology Club, Voices United, Women’s Club, Woodshop, and Yoga. One new resident, Cynthia McPhaul, was already boasting about the half a dozen or so clubs that she personally is already involved in. By definition, Robson Ranch is an active adult community, and its African American residents are finding the community to be a welcoming and fun place.

AASG is a club of residents who gather for fun and informational events, such as dining out, game nights, classes, cultural activities, seminars, trips, and volunteer activities. The group shares information about black history, culture, experiences, knowledge, skills, businesses, etc.

The group has grown significantly since its inception. There are no member dues, although costs may be incurred for participation in some activities. The group welcomes new members, so if you are a person of color, or just like to hang out with people of color, come join us! Bring your new ideas and your energy and be ready to have fun!
