The September meeting of the Robson Ranch Women’s Club featured a performance by Cyndie Sledge, a dynamic singer who has over 30 years experience performing a wide range of musical genres. She said “I have been singing in Texas all my life.” As a tribute to Dolly Parton, Cyndie opened her show with Jolene. Her show featured songs by many popular female artists. She also sang her original song, Angelfire. There was not a dry eye in the Ballroom when she dedicated her last song Dolly Parton’s classic, I Will Always Love You to her mother, who was also in attendance.
On Oct. 15, the club will have its final social event of the year. In early December, volunteers will bake cookies and, with the Pottery Club, provide DCFOF mothers with Christmas ceramics, cookies, and gifts for their children. Details will be available on the Robson Ranch Women’s Club website and in its email.
