Dancers enjoying Valentine’s dance

Sandy Meinecke

The Dance Club’s first dance of the year “Fifty Shades of Red” was held on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, 2020. The ballroom at Robson Ranch was filled with dancers wearing many shades of red dancing to music provided by Diva G and High Maintenance. Bert Zeitlin led line dancing at intermissions.

The ballroom was decorated in black and red on tables and walls with white coverings on the chairs. Each table had a black tablecloth, a red scarf, tall black vases with black and red feathers, beads, and fairy lights. There was a small box of chocolates at each place.

Many thanks to our sponsors who donated the popular door prizes: Nothing Bundt Cakes, Bath and Body Works, Amano Italian Bistro, and Henry Evans’s dance lessons. The lucky winners were Rick Nordson, Sheryl Cook, Kitty Shallup, Jim Scott, and Larry Wilson.

Keep your feet dancing and plan to attend the next Dance Club’s dance “Rockin’ the Ranch, on May 8, 2020. Freddie and the Falcons will be playing lots of your favorite rock and roll music from the ’60s, ’70s and more.

Also update your calendars for more upcoming dances: Maui Magic on Friday, Aug. 7 with D.J. Joel Morris; and Boots and Bling on Friday, Oct. 9 with Bob Farrell and the Brushfire Band.
