Dancing the Night Away in Tropical Paradise

Laurie Wiginton

The time was 7 p.m. on July 15. There was a lot of motion happening at the clubhouse here at Robson. The Robson Ranch Dance Club had a Tropical Paradise dance. Over 200 dancers flocked to the clubhouse to strut their stuff. Special Edition did a phenomenal job. You could hear spectators and dancers alike whisper how much fun they were having. They played a wonderful mix of dance tunes. The floor stayed full from the first song to the last.

It was quite the tropical feel with pink flamingos welcoming you in the door. The tables were decorated with adorable table squares and fun flamingos. That tropical feel carried over to the photo spot, where you could almost dig your toes in the sand. What a fun way to capture the memories of the night.

During a short break, you could feel the room’s electricity as we drew door prizes. Bruce Condit took home the 10-inch carrot Nothing Bundt cake, and Shellie Williams won the one month of dance lessons with Henry Evans. Roger Spratt was the winner of the La Vie Nails and Spa gift card. Diana Duncan will be enjoying her gift card from Rustico Grill. Evelyn Harris took home the eight assorted Bundlets from Nothing Bundt Cakes. Bruce Bent won the HydraFacial from Live Young Wellness Spa.

Start polishing those boots and dusting off your hats. The next Dance Club event will be Deep in the Heart of Texas on Friday, Oct. 14, featuring music by Chasing Texas. For all things Dance Club, check out our website, www.rrdanceclub.weebly.com.
