Our club had five carts in the 4th of July parade. Lori Stockton, our president, came up with an excellent idea of distributing used tennis balls to the parade watchers. As a result, there are a lot of happy dogs and grandchildren.
Our drop-in doubles times are now Monday through Saturday. Women are Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, and coed is Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8 to 10 a.m. Men’s is Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 to 7 p.m. All levels are welcome. Leagues are also in action.
Our next and last tennis social event of the year is Oktoberfest, scheduled for Oct. 22. This is a round robin tournament followed by a brat and beer party. Details will be forthcoming.
