Democrats Know Voting in the Primary Is Primary to Democracy

RR Democratic Club getting pumped up for the Big Show in November

Vicki Baker

It’s Primary Season in Texas, with all the chaos, expense, and bombast that phenomenon has come to represent in our national political life. Whether you’re a Democrat or Republican, left, right, or somewhere in between on the political spectrum, voting in the Primary Elections is an important civic responsibility. It’s “the election before the election” and helps narrow down the candidates come November.

The Robson Ranch Democratic Club recognizes some voters may be unaware of the significance of voting in this election and too often overlook the Primaries. And what better way to engage with voters than with an Election Kickoff Open House for our club membership.

Every club event has lively political discussion, and this was no exception, with Democrats running for offices up and down the ballot. Every statewide office this election season is being contested, including U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives, Railroad Commissioner, every Texas Supreme Court seat up this cycle, every seat on the Court of Criminal Appeals, every seat on the State Board of Education, every State Senate seat that is up this cycle, and 85% of the seats in the Texas House.

Texas Democrats are working hard to achieve big victories in 2024. The RR Democratic Club is proud to work in coordination with the Denton County Democratic Party to build our base and strengthen the democratic process. We want every voter to serve as a lasting part of our movement for a blue Texas far beyond this Primary Election Season.

Join the Robson Ranch Democratic Club to help set the stage for change, one that reflects the true values and diversity of Texas. We meet the first Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the clubhouse. To find out more, visit our website, www.rrdemocraticclub.com, follow us on Facebook, or contact [email protected].
