Don Pooley
Table tennis classes return on Friday, Oct. 22. Tom Taylor, a certified table tennis instructor from the Farmers Branch Table Tennis Club, is again conducting table tennis classes for members of the Robson Ranch Table Tennis Club. The class sessions will be on Fridays from 12:10 to 2:10 p.m., starting on Friday, Oct. 22, and will last for four to eight weeks. For this class session, beginner and intermediate skilled students will be combined into one session with specific skills and techniques introduced for the students’ specific skill level at each class session. Students will be encouraged to use the new skills in game play with other students as Tom applies one-on-one coaching. The class will be held in the Cimarron Sports Center Gym and is limited to 12 students in each session.
Tom’s focus this fall class session year is:
1. Developing a “workout” for each individual and their skill level.
2. Developing and perfecting forehand/backhand strokes
3. Understanding and mastering doubles teamwork
4. Moving to the next level
If you wish to take the class, you must sign up with Don Pooley, [email protected], before Oct. 21.
These free classes are limited to Robson Ranch Table Tennis Club members, but new members can join and take the classes.
The Robson Ranch Table Tennis play sessions continue to conform to Robson Ranch and CDC COVID-19 sanitizing and social distancing guidelines.
