The Gainesville Swing Orchestra will again be featured during the Sunday Afternoon Big Band Jazz Concert with Dancing to be enjoyed on June 5, from 3 to 5 p.m., in the Robson Ranch ballroom.
The concert is presented by the Robson Ranch Jazz Club, a group dedicated to preserving jazz, a true American art form.
The Gainesville Swing Orchestra is a 20-piece “Big Band” with singers, trumpets, ‘bones, saxes, and rhythm section. These musicians have been entertaining audiences around the Gainesville and Denton area for 20 years. They will be playing some old standards as well as some modern rock, pop, and well-known sentimental “crooner” songs: those special songs that can bring to mind a smile and a sigh.
Relive those wonderful songs with foxtrots, waltzes, and all the rest. A cash bar will be provided. Tickets are $10 each and can be obtained by contacting:
