After its customary summer break, the Garden Club met on Sept. 20.
Attendees enjoyed a lively presentation on Container Gardening by guest speaker Charlotte Canion. Ms. Canion is a certified Texas Master Gardener who provided practical information and tips, and answered questions from participants.
With the Garden Club kicking off a new operating year, a new Board of Directors has been seated:

Our club owes a debt of gratitude to Theresa Peoples, the immediate past president of the Garden Club. Theresa is a generous leader and a fountain of knowledge who shared her love of gardening, and helped grow the club.
Our next meeting will be a field trip for club members to the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden on Monday, Oct. 18. This is a member only event and we will have box lunches at the Arboretum, with the club sponsoring the cost for bus transportation to and from the Ranch.
