Quarantine Birthday Parade

How do you celebrate a birthday during a virus quarantine? Friends and neighbors had an idea. Planners gathered in the empty clubhouse parking lot and assembled decorated cars and golf carts to form a social distance birthday parade. The birthday lady’s husband arranged to have her nearby at 3 p.m. on her birthday. She was playing with her young grandson when the parade arrived, horns honking, people waving, and calling out birthday wishes. The entire neighborhood joined in. There were balloons and signs. Cameras were snapping and videos made. What a wonderful surprise! Happy birthday, Carol Cieslik!
