International Club members generally have their meetings on the third Thursday of the month. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, the club has had only two meetings this year. The January meeting was hosted by Rupa Mathur and Alfred Van Gool, and the February meeting was hosted by Annelise Guyer. We have had to cancel the rest of the meetings scheduled for the year. We tried to have Zoom meetings, but they were not very popular amongst the members.
The board members, however, have held Zoom and in-person meetings. We have kept in touch with the members by assigning the board members with a list of names to call on to see how they are coping during these difficult times. The members have had their share of challenges, and when we checked with them regarding future meetings in person, maintaining all the protocols and following safety standards, only a few of them were interested in meeting in person. Therefore, it was decided to cancel future meetings until most of us are comfortable to meet in person. We will continue keeping in touch with each other through phone calls.
