The Robson Ranch International Club held its April meeting at Susan and David Gruben’s home. The Grubens served a delicious meal consisting of roasted chicken breast in mushroom sauce, green beans and yellow Arborio rice. The rest of the members brought salad, dinner rolls, dessert and appetizers. I was not present at the meeting, but I have been told everyone enjoyed the meal and a chance to get together.
Our May meeting was held at Fred and Franzi Mullan’s home. One of the privileges we have as a member of the RR International Club is that we get an opportunity to enjoy international cuisine. The Mullans prepared South African barbecue with various accompaniments brought by the members. We had a chance to enjoy the feast and interact with each other. We talked about our travels and, of course, about the weather, which has been challenging lately.
We held our June meeting at Geeda and Tom Holland’s home. After enjoying a meal consisting of smoked turkey, red cabbage, various vegetables, appetizers and desserts, we discussed our club’s participation in the Fourth of July parade. Anna-Lisa Anderson has been kind enough to allow the members to decorate and ride in her beautiful convertible antique car. Jim Fox and Eileen Whitaker also offered their golf carts to be used in the parade. We are looking forward to our International Club partaking in the Robson Ranch Fourth of July Parade.
We welcome Stella and Kenneth Smith as members to our club. Our current members come from various parts of the world such as Mexico, Italy, Ireland, Germany, Denmark, Colombia, Austria, India, Belgium, South Africa, Netherlands, Brazil, Egypt, Portugal, Japan, Great Britain and Japan. We welcome new members to our club; for more information regarding the club please contact President Fred van Naerssen, [email protected] or Vice President Rupa Mathur, [email protected].
