On May 14, four members of the Robson Ranch Women’s Club (RRWC) attended the Women on Purpose Luncheon and Fashion Show at Sparrow on Main in Lewisville to support Journey to Dream. Prior to the event, we perused the wares of local vendors such as The Fashion Nook, The Bees Knees, Talula’s, Queenie Dough-Lites, and Tanny Twist. We also dropped a few tickets at the silent auction table and Gaby came home with new gardening tools and a bird house. After a delicious lunch, we were treated to a beautiful fashion show featuring outfits from The Bees Knees and Talula’s.

Before the afternoon concluded, we were honored to hear from the incredible Dr. Lucretia “Cre Taylor. Dr. Taylor is the founder of Strategic Choices Consulting, where she works closely with nonprofits, funders, and coalitions to strengthen infrastructure, align programs with outcomes, and move from vision to impact. Her powerful story about hardship and the village that lifted her up deeply moved the room. Stories like hers remind us why supporting Journey to Dream’s mission matters and why investing in our teens is so important for their future success.

Journey to Dream provides safe, caring, supportive environments where teens can safely wrestle with big issues, develop critical coping skills and plan for their futures. Located in Denton County, the nonprofit organization is faith-driven and inclusive.
