On Oct. 26, 18 Kiwanians added a bit of spit and polish to the fences and lawns at New Hope Rehabilitation Equestrian Center. New Hope schedules over 85 rides a week for children and adults who come to spend a little time relaxing to the sound of hoofbeats in the corral and on the trails.

The volunteers scraped and painted iron pipe fencing a lovely avocado green (or was that Kermit green?).

They also mended fencing, cleaned out the break room and fridge, and sowed grass on the bare areas.

A few hours of comradery, a little spilled paint, and few stretched muscles yielded a place that will surely bring a smile to those who go to New Hope.
