The Robson Ranch annual Olympics is now in full swing, with residents vying for top scores in Texas Toss, Table Tennis, 9-Hole Golf, Cycling, Walking, Horseshoes, Bocce, Pickleball, Tennis, Water and Gym Basketball, Indoor Pool Walk/Swim Laps, Chipping and Putting, Bolo Toss, and Basketball Free Throw. Winners will be recognized at our Awards Luncheon on Saturday, Sept. 30, in the clubhouse. More on this big event will be in next month’s news article. I look forward to seeing many of you out there. I’ll be taking pictures!

Labor Day, Sept. 4, has probably come and gone by the time you read this article. Many of you had company, and many spent the holiday with friends and family elsewhere. We’re hoping all have returned home safely.

Dr. Suzane Thai, DDS DFW, presented a wonderful discussion on Sept. 7 focusing on “Sleep Disorders.”

On Sept. 21 we’ll have another DCFD CPR/AED class, presented by Chief Brad Lahart. The class is limited to 30 residents, and you must be registered prior to the event by contacting Joyce Ambre at [email protected] or 940-262-3425.

Coming up! On Oct. 5 Dan Ballenger will once again present updated information on Medicare. Whether you’re new to Medicare, thinking about changing your coverage, or just want updated information, this presentation is for you. The presentation begins at 1 p.m. Come early, as seats fill quickly.

Also, on Oct. 19 at 1 p.m., Laura Redman of North Texas Orthopedics Spine & Pain Management Center will be discussing “Sports Injuries and Treatments.”

Two new vendors will be joining our Friday Market. The days are cooling now, so get out early on Friday mornings, meet all the vendors, and shop! Shopping in your own backyard—it can’t get any better than that.

We hope you had a great summer and are looking forward to cooler outdoor events. Bocce started the third week of August.

Be well and stay cool!
