Motorcycle Club: Paths, Parties and Parades

Take a look at what Mike captured with his drone!

Paths: Summer Mountain Ride to New Mexico and Colorado. This ride captures the essence of great motorcycling. The distance is just enough to give it the feel of a good, long ride. The roads and vistas are perfect for a little carving and sightseeing. Finally, and definitely important these days, the temperatures are absolutely perfect for riding. It is clear from the pictures and the stories the folks brought back that a great time was had by all during another successful ride. Thanks to Ride Captains Ron Bane and Reggie Rother.

Party: One of the club’s cherished traditions is the July 3 Decorating Party. This year, Marti and Mike Conley graciously hosted the event. About 20 folks turned out to sample the great brats and potluck contributions of the members. Then it was down to the designing, and motorcyclists do have great decorating instincts! We actually won the award for best decorating by a Robson Texas motorcycle club!

Parade: Invite a biker to show off their ride, and they will. Even in the early morning. Even in the heat! Mike Conley led the way with his remote-control car, closely followed by the Baker’s sight and sound extravaganza and the rest of the participating riders. It was great to be part of the outpouring of fun and frolic celebrating our precious freedoms!

Coming up is the Breakfast Ride to Rohmer’s Restaurant in Muenster on Aug. 24.

We are always looking for new riders to join us. See you on the road! Beware of cagers, and keep the rubber-side down.
