Music Club Falling into Their Groove

Frances Hackley, Publicity Chair

The Robson Ranch Music Club is excited to feel like they are getting back into the groove of things, falling back to before the pandemic threw everything off kilter and sent everyone into a tailspin. With fall beginning, they are indeed ready to fall right back into their routine of events and concerts. They intend to snuggle right in and get cozy with the comfort of rehearsals, event plans, and performances.

Coming up first will be Scaryoke on Friday, Oct. 29 at 7 p.m. in the Clubhouse. Tickets will be $15, available on Mondays and Wednesdays in the Clubhouse Lobby. Sales begin Oct. 11 and run through Oct. 27 from 9 to11 a.m. Tickets will also be available for $16 on PayPal via our website, rrmusicclub.com, also beginning Oct. 11. Everyone has had two years to get a costume together, so I know there will be some fantastic surprises. Robson folks have the best time pulling out all the stops in their costume creativity! Just go to our website, rrmusicclub.com, and look at past Scaryoke pictures! We have had The Village People, Beetlejuice, Sonny and Cher, The Magic Dragon, The Tooth Fairy, and the Devil himself show up! If you don’t want to costume up, that’s okay, come anyway and enjoy the dance and everyone’s costume. Don’t fall into not getting your tickets! They will be gone. This dance is always a Robson favorite!

Next up, the Veterans Day Concert on Nov. 11. Performing two concerts on Veterans Day, 11 a.m. and 7 p.m., this concert is always a favorite of both the choir and the community. With nearly 600 veterans here at the Ranch, no wonder! Not being able to do the concert last year was just heartbreaking for everyone. If you just moved here and have not had the chance to enjoy this concert, make sure you don’t miss it! Also, if for some reason you have missed it in the past, don’t miss it again. We are very excited to bring in the North Texas Allegiant Honor Guard to present the Colors. The concert is patriotic, spiritual, heartwarming, uplifting, and just plain amazing! Your heart will be pumping out of your chest with American pride!

Christmas at the Ranch Concert will be Dec. 18, at 7 p.m. and Dec. 19 at 4 p.m. This concert will give you the warm fuzzies with familiar songs of the season. Joyful songs that will remind us of the reason for the season, plus Christmas favorites. Our singers are always excited to ease into these songs like a warm blanket. All surely to get you into the Spirit of Christmas.

Finally, the year will end with the New Year’s Eve Dinner/Dance. One more chance to get together with friends and neighbors in the celebration of friendship and camaraderie found only here at Robson!
