New Year’s Eve Dinner and Dance

Frances Hackley

The Robson Ranch Music Club will host a New Year’s Eve Dinner Dance on Dec. 31. The party will begin with cocktails at 7 p.m. (cash bar), followed by dinner at 7:30 p.m. The buffet dinner will include salad, dinner rolls, lightly dusted chicken breast with lemon caper sauce or brined pork loin with a peach chutney sauce, herb roasted potatoes, green bean almondine, roasted cherry tomatoes, and fancy vanilla or chocolate cupcakes. Black-eyed peas will also be available later in the evening, just for luck. A champagne toast will be served right before the ball drops at 11 p.m. to toast in the new year.

Tickets for this evening of dining and dance are $75. They will be available in the lobby of the clubhouse beginning Dec. 12 through Dec. 28, every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Tickets may also be purchased on PayPal via our website, rrmusicclub.com, for $77. For information about ticket sales, please contact Linda Kurita at 817-657-0274 or [email protected].

After your tummy has had some yummy, you will need to get your steps in! We have a plan for that. Let us dance in the new year! Entertainment will be provided by DJ Michael O’Brien. Mr. O’Brien has been a dance instructor and party motivator in the DFW area for some 30 years. He will have on hand his extensive collection of music from big band swing to today’s top hits. A terrific way to bring in the new year with friends and neighbors just steps from your front door. Even better, there is no charge for parking! Come and enjoy doing the two-step, polka, line dance, waltz, quickstep, or cha cha. Michael will have all the music at the touch of a finger.

Please come and join us in saying “so long” to 2022 and “hello” to 2023. For all information on the Music Club events and concerts, go to our website, rrmusicclub.com. You will also note on our site we have announced auditions for the choir. Our director Arturo Ortega is holding auditions on Dec. 12 at 4:30 p.m. If you are interested, contact our choir administrator Susan Lueders at [email protected].
