“It’s What Cowboys Do” will be the theme of the 2014 North Texas Fair and Rodeo, according to Glenn Carlton, executive director of the NT Fair and Rodeo. The annual event will be held at the North Texas Fairgrounds in Denton, Texas from August 15-23.
“This theme reflects the Texas Cowboy Culture,” according to Carlton. “We are considered by many as a cowboy reunion. Many attend so see old friends once a year at the fair. You don’t have to be a cowboy to attend the reunion (fair), but many are.”
The North Texas Fair and Rodeo attracts an average of 150,000 attendees each year and is one of the largest PRCA (Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association) rodeos in the Southwest.
