The Photography Club held its general meeting on Sept. 22. The meeting was open to all Robson Ranch residents.
The featured program was a presentation by club member Michael Patterson, titled “AI and Photography: A New Tool in the Camera Bag.” Michael explored how artificial intelligence can serve as a practical assistant for photographers—from generating creative ideas and finding locations to planning a shoot, critiquing images, and assisting with post-processing. He also discussed how AI is already being incorporated into today’s cameras and editing software, along with some of the opportunities and concerns it brings to photography.
The “Member Focus” and “Show and Tell” segments featured Kitz Parker, Steve Simpson, and Betty Alvarado, who showcased several of their favorite photographs. Jerry Schlesinger and Dick Remski shared photographs from their recent outing to the DFW Car and Toy Museum in Fort Worth, home to more than 200 rare and collectible cars and more than 3,000 antique toy car models.
The meeting also included the results of the August monthly image contest, whose theme was “Texture.” Seeing how fellow photographers interpreted a common theme was both enjoyable and educational, providing an opportunity to appreciate their creativity, techniques, and unique perspectives.
