Road Runner Travel Club is traveling to Hawaii next March! Join us to explore the Hawaiian Islands for 11 days and 10 nights, hosted by Trafalgar. The trip begins on March 5, 2023, with a welcome reception on Waikiki Beach.
The next day you will visit Pearl Harbor National Monument, USS Arizona Memorial, and drive through the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. In Honolulu you will see Iolani Palace, the King Kamehameha I statue, and the State Capitol building. The afternoon is free.
On day three, fly to the Big Island of Hawaii. In Hilo you will have time to explore the beautiful Liliuokalani Gardens. Next, visit the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park to see Thurston Lava Tube and learn about the geology of the islands. Continue along the coast to Punalu’u Beach Park, famous for its black sand and Hawaiian green sea turtles. This evening you arrive in Kailua Kona and meet the local specialist who will share insights into the graceful manta rays, which are visible from the hotel, before enjoying rich island flavors at dinner.
Kona is next on the trip. Wake to the sound of the sea and embrace your outdoor adventurer for a day of leisure to explore the natural wonderland of the Big Island on your own.
Day five on Kona starts as you visit the Hawaii Ocean Science & Technology Park where you will have the choice of visiting a deep ocean salt farm or the Kanaloa Octopus Farm. Return to the lively town of Kailua Kona where you can explore before returning to the resort. That evening sip on a Mai Tai at a Hawaiian luau and enjoy a dinner featuring local flavors and Polynesian entertainment.
Your last day on Kona starts by visiting a coffee plantation before flying to Maui. On arrival, you will visit a local sustainable farm. Enjoy lunch with wine, then journey to your resort on stunning Kaanapali Beach. As the sun sets over the Pacific, stroll to Whalers Village or venture into Old Town Lahaina to dine at one of the many restaurants.
The second day in Maui, warm your heart and soul in paradise, spending the day leisurely exploring Maui on your terms. That evening join your fellow travelers for an oceanside dinner at your resort.
Enjoy a leisurely start to your day and head to the airport for your short flight to Kauai. Relax on island time and settle in at your beachfront hotel. Next day on Kauai, drive through the Tunnel of Trees and continue to Waimea Canyon State Park.
The final day discover Kauai and its natural wonders before joining travel companions for a Farewell Dinner.
Day 11 is now a fond a hui hou … until we meet again. Off to Lihue Airport before heading back to the Ranch.
