Robson Ranch Choir staying cool

Frances Hackley, Publicity Chair

The Robson Ranch Choir is staying cool for now but soon they will be warming up their vocal cords. After a welcome break and time to reset, everyone will be rested and ready to get back at it. Auditions for those wanting to be a part of this talented and welcoming group will be held Monday, July 29, 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Clubhouse Ballroom. If you can sing and would like an audition, please call Linda Stewart at 262-3471 to set an audition appointment with Director Arturo Ortega. Be prepared to sing a little ditty, of course.

Before the auditions, there will be a “Welcome back/glad you are joining” get together in the lounge of the Wild Horse Grill starting at 5:30 p.m. on that same evening. All are looking forward to seeing each other and catching up before getting back to the business of rehearsals. Rehearsals will begin on August 26 for our November 11th Veterans Day Concert and the Christmas Concerts, December 21 and 22. The choir rehearses on Monday evenings at 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The choir has a few other events coming up. One is the participation in North Texas Giving Day on September 19. Since the choir is a nonprofit, it relies on funding from the generosity of others through ticket sales, donations and other fundraisers to keep them singing pretty. The North Texas Giving Day allows for the public to choose the Robson Ranch Choir as their charity of choice. No amount is too small, and all are greatly appreciated. Also, the always anticipated, Scaryoke is coming on October 25 and the New Year’s Eve party on December 31. So, as you can tell, time is almost up on cooling their heels and their vocal cords before coming together again for a busy and exciting new season.
