Members of the Robson Ranch Duplicate Bridge Club attended a Pizza Party Luncheon, followed by a 7-table duplicate bridge game on Feb. 27 in the Robson Ranch Clubhouse. The activity was held to honor various rank achievements awarded by the American Contract Bridge League (ACBL) to five club members.
The ACBL awards masterpoints to the top players in their sanctioned bridge games and ACBL members strive to achieve various Masterpoint Ranks by their participation in these games. The first milestone achievement is that of Life Master. Two members were celebrated for reaching this goal: Kim Satterfield and Maitland Dade. The Bronze Life Master was awarded to Laura Pantano and Lori Slocum and the Ruby Life Master to John Stephani. Robson Ranch Duplicate Bridge Club is a relatively small club and it is a huge accomplishment for this number of members to achieve these awards.
Social Chairman and member–at–large Lynda Garrett, in conjunction with Director Tawana Arnett, did an amazing job decorating and providing a commemorative cake. Other officers in the club are President Bob Stevens, Vice President Laura Pantano, Treasurer Ron Renckly, Secretary Consie Javor and member–at–large David Hammer.
The Robson Ranch Duplicate Bridge Club hosts three weekly ACBL Sanctioned Open games under the direction of ACBL Director Tawana Arnett. The Monday and Friday games are held at noon and the Wednesday game, directed by Norris Drum, is at 6 p.m. All bridge players are welcome to join us. No partner? Not a problem. Tawana will work diligently to try and find one for you. For more information contact director Tawana Arnett at rrdentonbridge@gmail.com.
