Robson Ranch is proud to host the University of North Texas’ celebrated Four O’Clock Lab Band for a live performance on Thursday, Oct. 22. Part of UNT’s internationally acclaimed Jazz Studies program, the Four O’Clock Lab Band features outstanding student musicians performing a wide range of big band repertoire—from classic swing to cutting-edge contemporary jazz. Each band includes five saxes, five trumpets, five trombones, guitar, piano, bass, drums and percussion players. The ensemble is directed by Ken Ebo serving as Sr. Lecturer of Jazz Studies, trombonist and Retired United States Marine Gunnery. Sgt. Ken Ebo served as the Music Placement Director for the United States Marine Music Program in the Southwestern United States and is former head of the Instrumental Division at the Naval School of Music in Virginia Beach where he also served as trombone faculty and jazz improvisation instructor. He was the lead trombonist and musical director of the Marine Corps Jazz Orchestra from 2009 to 2021. He is a recipient of the Musician of the Year Award for the United States Marine Corps. $10 of each ticket will go directly to the RR UNT Scholarship provided to The College of Music’s best and the brightest musicians.

Tickets will only be reservable starting Oct. 6 at 9 a.m. and will be online on the HOA website (under Activities Tab is the Tickets Tab). Reservations will be limited to 10 per household.
