For several years the After Schoolers group has had the pleasure of taking baskets of stockings (provided by Material Girls), stuffed toys, scarves, and food to feed some of the needy families at Borman Elementary. Your food donations provided enough food for each of the 25 families for the two weeks they were on holiday. Last year the generous Robson Ranch residents donated enough food to fill 25 baskets. This year we are hoping to provide the same. In addition, Linda Terry of the Robson Ranch library has asked if we can distribute books that the library volunteer workers are donating.
Thanks in advance for donating for a merrier Christmas for many young children and their families. Please note that the donation box location this year differs from past years. This year the location will be in the clubhouse on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 a.m.-11 a.m., Nov. 18–Dec. 13. Please note this exception during the Thanksgiving holidays. There will be no donation acceptance on Nov. 27 and 29.
Examples of food that is appropriate to donate is canned vegetables, meats, fruits, spaghetti sauce, chili, and pasta, mac-n-cheese, dried beans, oatmeal, peanut butter, and granola bars.
Thanks to your generosity we are looking at a bright year for some of the children that we support.
