The Robson Rollers finished a great bowling season, culminating in a banquet at the Ranch. Winners received individual awards for different bowling accomplishments during the season: High Game, High Series, High Average, or Most Improved.
Bowling for last season started in September and completed in April. All leagues bowled twice a month, or 16 times during a season. We have five different leagues that bowl at Bowlero off Loop 288, behind Golden Triangle Mall. Two leagues bowl in the morning, with three bowling during the evenings. We are always looking for new bowlers.
Currently, we have close to 250 bowlers. Before COVID-19, we had over 400, so there is plenty of room to grow our leagues. All leagues have bowlers who range in skill from excellent to not so excellent. It does not matter. Our main objective is to have fun. If you win, it’s a bonus!
This year, we were extremely fortunate to have several Premier sponsors. Our Premier sponsors were Bowlero, BCI Mechanical, Edward Jones, Rodney’s Lawn Care & Landscaping, Mansell Dentistry, Bedrock Energy Partners, Merrill Lynch, and Weedman. Their generous support resulted in all bowlers bringing home additional prize monies. In addition, many large door prizes, including cash prizes, were given out at the end of the evening. One lucky winner, Evelyn Harris, won the top door prize, a year of free bowling. Congrats, Evelyn!
