The House Band (host) for the June meeting of the Rock and Roll Martini Group were Rockers Marti and John Harnly. It was a patriotic get together celebrating our countries 250th anniversary. All the Rockers (members) and guests were wearing red, white and blue. The music for the evening was the great Rod Stewart. Rod Stewart is a British singer and songwriter known for his raspy voice and genre versatility. Marti and John provided a grilled summer picnic of hamburgers and hot dogs straight from the grill. Everyone else filled in with sides that complimented the picnic theme. The martinis for the evening were a “watermelon martini” and an “espresso martini.” “Lime water” was available for the less adventurous. No screen doors or martini glasses were harmed at the party!
