Greetings from the Bent Rim Grill in Frio Canyon
Stan Brein
Welcome to summer, I think. During this stretch the Club is taking a break from motorcycle rides and events, as members are involved with other summer activities. Family, heat and vacation plans will take center stage for a while. Very few members were available for the July 4th Parade so the club didn’t participate this year. We’ll be back next year.
The July breakfast ride will go west, to the Whistle Stop Café in Decatur. On Tuesday, July 14, Jeff Stieber will lead us on this journey. On the horizon is the coveted Angel Fire and Colo. trip, August 22 to 30. Carrylyn Jacobs and Mike Conley will share Ride Captain responsibilities for this beautifully scenic excursion. Great pictures will accompany the fantastic tales about the road experiences. The route will cover Denton to Amarillo, to Angel Fire, Gunnison and Durango, heading back through Pagosa Springs, Chama, and Taos. Truly a highlight reel for the year.
In the meantime, enjoy some of the club’s previous escapades through the Texas Hill Country.
See you on the road!
Beware of cagers and keep the rubber side down.
