The House Band (host) for the February meeting of the Rock & Roll Martini Group was Nancy and Jimmy Burns. Nancy and Jimmy chose James Taylor as the featured artist for the evening. James Taylor is a six-time Grammy award winner and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2000. Also known as “Sweet Baby James,” he has sold more than 100 million records worldwide. Nancy Burns also fired up a quiz for the group with Barry Joyce, Connie Metzler, and Jim Richardson winning St. Paddy’s Day beads.
The martinis for the evening were “How Sweet It Is” and “Whisky for Breakfast.” Nancy and Jimmy served up some outstanding “Sweet Baby Lasagna,” salad, and bread. The rest of the Rockers (members) and guests filled in the appetizers and desserts.
Until next month, rock on!
