One of the annual fundraising events for Support Our Troops (SOT) is held every Nov. 11, Veterans Day, and once again the Sassy Stampers members stepped up with their donations of handmade holiday and note cards. We had 23 different cards for bidding this year.
Sassy Stampers has been a long-time partner with SOT in providing patriotic cards that are sent to the military men and women monthly, as well as making birthday and Christmas cards for the troops. The heroes who are receiving these cards are acquaintances in some way to Robson Ranch residents.
This year’s auction provided different opportunities in helping support our military, but the Sassy Stampers cards are always a staple and receive generous bids. The Stampers use their own supplies, time, and talent in creating holiday or note cards for bidding. Many take advantage of the heat of the summer months to start putting the cards together. This author is amazed by the talent in our club and the ideas that they come up with. When it’s 100 degrees outside, the last thing on my mind is holiday preparation.
