The Robson Ranch Sassy Stampers meet formally on the third Saturday of each month. Our members have a passion for mentoring new stampers and teaching them techniques and tips for paper crafting and rubber stamping. Although primarily a card club, we create other items such as decorated note pads, gift bags, tags and much, much more! Beginners and experienced stampers are welcomed and will find that skills learned in Sassy Stampers are transferable to other mediums, like scrapbooking and painting.

We welcomed two new members in July, Janet Seery and Sandra Hall.

The July meeting project was a multi-level floral medallion card created and presented by Lyn Fosnaught.

Each month a “tool of the trade” is introduced and demonstrated for the members. In July Leslie Brown demonstrated the Fiskars Tag Masker Punch, a tool she has evaluated as needing some additional market testing and rework in order to do all it claims to do.

We have a Basic Stamping 101 class that is taught the second Friday of each month. Trudi Searles teaches this class and introduces new stampers to tools and techniques in a more intimate one-on-one setting. This class will resume in August.

We also have two accelerated classes each month taught by Patsy Collins. Patsy teaches more advanced techniques to more experienced stampers.

Sassy Stampers are also proud of our contribution to the Support Our Troops efforts at Robson Ranch and meet regularly to create cards for our troops. We will soon be developing packets of 10 cards each for auction at the Veterans Day silent auction. Don’t miss the opportunity to bid on these beautiful cards crafted with love. You will find both Christmas and Texas-themed packs for auction.

Currently members have the opportunity to win a gift card when they bring and share their talent with the club by preparing cards that meet the monthly theme. July’s winner was Sally Hampton. All cards created for the drawing are proudly displayed in the window of Room 104 at the CATC building.

Our next meeting is August 15 from 10:00 a.m. to noon in Room 104, Bluebonnet Room, in the Creative Arts & Technology Building. August’s meeting is a members’ sale and swap. Each member will bring items from their stamping supplies that they are ready to sell or swap, and we have a virtual indoor garage sale. It is a great time for beginner stampers to purchase necessary items for their toolkit at reduced prices. Members will also leave the August meeting with a beautifully completed card presented by Deb Harwell. Guests are welcome with a charge of $3 to cover the cost of supplies.

Annual dues are $15 per year.
