Have you been crafting the “Next Great American Novel”? Have you been working on a loving poem for your Valentine? Have creative ideas but don’t know where to start? Then come join your fellow writers at the next Silver Quills club meeting! At our meetings you’ll get tips and encouragement to mature whatever style of writing you choose to pursue. Join us at the Creative Arts and Technology Center (CATC) Bluebonnet room, on the first Thursday of every month.

Each month we explore various aspects of writing, whether that’s how to find an illustrator for a children’s book, or how to write a compelling opening paragraph that draws readers in. The topics for our next three months include:

May: Critique Corner, where members will share their own works with each other, gaining feedback and suggestions.

June: Writing and publishing non-fiction.

July: The healing power of poetry.
