Thirty-two Active Aging Group Fitness participants enjoyed a “Planksgiving” Workout just after sunrise at the Robson Ranch Denton Creative Arts Technical Center Parking Lot. Bonnie Fickey led the energetic group as they plucked away calories with cardio intervals consisting of cardio kickboxing, cardio core, cardio strength, and stability.
Bonnie offers fun, creative, safe, and effective workouts for active agers. The routines offer many benefits over risks to help lead this population towards a strong feeling of self-efficacy. As an additional benefit, the routines help improve activities of daily living efficiently manifesting a safer, happier, healthier, and fitter life. According to Bonnie, “Aging can have its challenges! No matter the age, everyone can become stronger to help combat those challenges and benefit from the functional total body conditioning workouts offered during each of the Active Aging Group Fitness Classes by Bonnie. The new year is always a good time to set realistic health and fitness goals. Building life-long habits takes time, but once you have built those habits into your daily schedule you will notice that missing them is irritating. Never quit! Keep moving and aging strong!”
