Women Sharing Hope (WSH) has 13 happy groups of women who get together each month to enjoy an outing, decided upon by the hostess of that month. We call these groups PPP which stands for Praise, Prayer and Play. Our outing for May was touring through the Denton courthouse. This is a Denton county must see. There are several places set up for children to have fun The museum changes their exhibits every six months. Currently the exhibit gives the highlights and history of iconic small businesses in Denton. The hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and there is no admission fee.
The historical Courthouse-On-The-Square is an architectural marvel. Built in 1896 it is the centerpiece of the Denton downtown square. It was fully restored in 2004 using the architect, W.C. Dodgson’s original blueprints. The courthouse is made of limestone from Denton, pink granite from Auston, red sandstone from the Pecos, and tan sandstone from Mineral Wells.
Each PPP group is made up of 12 gals who develop friendships, grow in faith and share needs. The gals in each group support each other through prayer and fellowship. If this sounds like something you would like to join please contact: Barbara Browning at 432-528-1118. New groups are always being added. WSH normally meets in the clubhouse on the first Friday of each month. Topics change monthly. Watch for the email.
