At the annual meeting held February 6, the Robson Ranch Denton Tennis Club elected new officers for the 2018-2019 seasons. Presiding President Klaus Dannenberg called the meeting to order and asked for the approval of the financial report presented by Treasurer Sue Ehinger. Klaus then called for nominations and elections of new incoming officers. Bob “Mitch” Mitchell was elected as new president and Jerry Tarpley was elected as vice president to serve new two-year terms. Sue Ehinger, treasurer, and Lynne Hyatt, secretary, were confirmed for the second year of their two-year terms.
The Tennis Club would like to invite any residents of Robson Ranch Denton, who would like to enjoy the fellowship of other tennis enthusiasts and improve their tennis skills, to join the Tennis Club. The fee for Tennis Club membership is only $10 per year. This includes opportunities to participate in practice leagues and planned events throughout the year. Drop-ins will be held M-W-F from 9:00-11:00 a.m., starting March 1 for all residents.
Currently, several social/tennis events are planned for this year: March 31 – Spring Fling, May 5 – Cinco de Mayo, June 30 – Breakfast at Wimbledon, October 5 – Octoberfest, and Nov 3 – Pizza on the Patio. The Christmas Party will be held November 30 in the Clubhouse. We would like to ask all members to give us their opinions on any additional activities that they feel would add to the enjoyment of our club.
The board would like to ask that all members try to ensure they sign in for court usage and make a court reservation whenever possible using the current Chelsea reservation system and the new Northstar reservation system in the near future. Use of these tools will help avoid any confusion and help track court usage for HOA funding.
