The Fallen Arches

Susan Hebert

How many times you have been walking around Robson Ranch and wished you could see something different or walk in shade among beautiful bushes and flowers? A new group in Robson Ranch, The Fallen Arches, did just this.

A group of Robson residents, Dennis Behm, Susan Hebert, Dean and Donna French, Char Niemi, Patrick and Amy Enloe and Joan and Chuck Newcomer decided to take walking up a notch and created the first hiking group at Robson Ranch. They met at the Grill and chose to hike once a month at one of 60 hiking trails in or around Denton and once a year venturing out to a hiking adventure in Dallas or Fort Worth.

They chose Knoll Trail on 377 for their first hike. After hiking close to three miles of up and down hills, the group decided this club was a great success.

And, of course, after fighting off bears and other wild animals…well there could have been. Maybe. We needed nourishment, so we rode to Roanoke and had breakfast.

Stay tuned for next month’s adventures of the Fallen Arches.
