On March 1, 2022, primary elections will be conducted for both Republicans and Democrats as a part of the 2022 election cycle. Early voting will take place from Monday, Feb. 14, through Friday, Feb. 25. Details on hours and locations, as well as sample ballots, can be found at votedenton.gov.
I wanted to provide some helpful reminders, seeing as new maps were drawn for the Texas House, Texas Senate, and United States Congress. The Robson Ranch community, precinct 4003, is still located in House District 64, as it was before. The same for Senate District 12, which is currently held by Senator Jane Nelson who has announced her retirement and will not be on the ballot this go round. Robson Ranch also continues to be located in Congressional District 26. All of this is important to note, because while you more than likely will be familiar with the candidates for each of these districts, your friends and neighbors outside the Robson community might be located in different districts than they were during the last election. Information on what the new districts look like can be found at dvr.capitol.texas.gov or by reaching out to my staff in Denton or Austin for clarification.
My wife Lori and I will humbly be asking for your vote so that I may be re-elected to serve as your state representative again in a fourth term. Because there is no Democrat filed to run for House District 64, whoever wins the Republican Primary on March 1 will be the state representative for HD 64.
Over the past months and weeks, I have worked hard to be out amongst the community talking about the great things we accomplished last year, whether it be hardening the electric grid, fully funding public education while lowering property taxes, providing for border security, or making sure our elections are secure, and I look forward to earning your vote once more, so I can continue to be your representative in Austin.
