For most men, especially those who work during the week, Saturdays are precious. A typical Saturday means setting aside obligations and being rewarded with an activity of your own choosing. Perhaps a round of golf with your buddies, a fishing trip with other men, a motorcycle ride, or a pickleball match.
Those are all good things. They bring enjoyment, possibly relaxation, and are preferable to working or doing chores for most men. But what are you doing to nourish your soul? Going to a house of worship is nourishing. But what if you could study the Bible in more depth while enjoying the fellowship of other Christian men in the community?
In the early days of Robson Ranch, one resident, Fran Chupp, gathered men on his patio for 90 minutes of fellowship, friendship, and spiritual nourishment. He looked for men within the community whose hearts were open to God’s Word. He wasn’t always successful in encouraging men to join his Bible group, but those who participated found this routine refreshing and rewarding.
Over the years, as Robson Ranch grew, more Bible study groups formed and attendance grew. Now six different groups total 115 men who come together around 8 a.m. on Saturday mornings. Because the groups meet in homes, some are at maximum comfortable capacity. To keep up with the growth of Robson Ranch, we plan to start new groups. Would you like to be part of a new Men’s bible study in your neighborhood?
