It was a dark and stormy night! And then the rain and hail left, but the cool, windy weather came! The weather was not ideal for the Robson Ranch Community Garage Sale, but the Robson community bundled up and came out with enthusiasm to support their neighbors! Thanks, Robson Ranch, for once again showing why we love our community!

In the early morning hours when flashlights and headlights were needed to see, the After Schoolers members descended on the Clubhouse parking lot to number spaces, to set up tables, to get the coffee brewing, to unload their cars with items donated to the organization and then “they came.” A heartfelt “thank you” to everyone who helped make the spring 2017 community garage sale a success! Thanks to the Robson residents who participated in the sale by setting up their own space and to those many, many residents who donated items to the After Schoolers to sell.

Proceeds go to support the teachers and professional staff members at two schools in the Denton Independent School District: Borman Elementary School and Gonzalez School for Young Children. The After Schoolers’ goal is to provide an “end-of-the-year” gift to our two “adopted” schools. Last year, because of the support given by the Robson community, we were able to purchase a much needed microwave for one school and a die cut machine for the other. Both gifts were greatly appreciated!

Save the date: mark your calendars for the next Robson Ranch Community Garage Sale on October 14, 2017. The rain date is October 21.
